French Toast

Preparation: 5 mins (doesn’t include baking almond bread before)

Total:  10 mins
Challenge Protein Servings:  1 servings = 0.25 per slice of toast. Not including additional cheese.

Benefits & Notes: This is the unsweetened version. After the challenge, we can make a sweetended french toast with the proper sweetners!

Ingredients
  • 5 slices of almond bread according to the recipe
    Note: Bake the bread with long mold “English Cake mold”
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of cream (unsweetened)
  • Coconut oil
  • Salt and pepper
Directions
  1. Prepare the almond bread. If you refrigerated it before, reheat for a few minutes in the oven.
  2. Heat the pan and add 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil.
  3. In the bowl, mix two eggs, a tablespoon of cream and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Cut the almond bread into slices and dip it into the mixture this way:
    Let each slice soak in the bowl with the mixture for a minute. And then transfer the slice to a frying pan.
  5. Fry each side until golden.
    Note: make sure the coconut oil was melted and spread throughout the pan, and the pan is already boiling,
  6. Suitable to serve with a selection of cheese and a salad for a nutritious and tasty meal.
