Your Body’s Secret

 

“You look much younger than your age”.

Has anyone told you that?

That’s a huge compliment. But why?

We usually think of being “young” as having “young looks” and skin.

But it goes much deeper than that.

The Change

It’s not easy to admit, but our body changes.

Presidents, prime ministers, doctors, and world leaders, you and I, all experience that chance.

And if we forget, over time, small things show up to remind us.

Wrinkles and grey hair shows up.

The stamina isn’t what it used to be… when we walk up the stairs or carry heavy bags.

We may realize our memory and focus are not as sharp as they used to be.

The excess weight becomes more sticky. And doing more exercise? Or removing this or that food?  What you used to work for us about 5 or 15 years ago – just doesn’t cut it anymore.

And our bodies seem to need more maintenance!

These are reminders to take care of our youth.

Staying Healthy

 You might have noticed that in the COVID-19 pandemic, young people deal with the disease much better. Maybe 100 times or a 1000 times stronger defense against the virus.

What’s the process that makes our immune system so robust when we are young, and where does it go?

I used to think it was opposite – I will be healthy therefore I’ll look young.  When I researched genetics, I realized it is youth gives us health. 

For example, smoking increases lung cancer 6 times. But reaching age 60 increases the chance for cancer a hundred times compared to age twenty.

Something changes with time that makes our health change. And that something is losing our youth.

It’s All Around Us

When the body changes, we change.

This is why singers may lose their voice already in their 30’s.
Many of our beloved singers can no longer perform like they used to… or at all.

Athletes lose their performance during the 20’s. This is why Messi isn’t the same player he used to be (coming from a Messi fan).
Or Michael Jordan couldn’t play today (I’m a huge Jordan Fan!).

Keeping your body young isn’t about vanity. It’s about life.

Your life.

Wrong Attitude

Apathy and “ha, I’m young now, talk to me when I’m 70” attitude is catastrophic here.

You have to deal with it, right here, right now.

No excuses. No delays. Even if you’re 25, and certainly if you’re over 30.

What is Youth?

When you were born, you received the gift of life.

And with the gift of life, you received the gift of youth.

Youth is the intelligence and the knowledge inside our bodies to preserve our life on the highest level.

(When you’re young, your body knows how to use the information in your DNA in the best way.)

Youth means harmony inside your body is beautiful to watch, like a symphony. It’s perfect.

And with that knowledge and intelligence, it gives you:
…Strong immune system

…Sharp, creative minds

…Strength of your muscles.

….Young looks and radiant skin

But if you do nothing, time will erode your youth. Your body loses that knowledge gradually.

For that, there’s a new area in wellness called “youth preservation”

What Youth Preservation is Not

Youth preservation is not how to live forever.

It’s impossible to live forever.

Planet Earth will eventually die. The sun would eventually run out of energy. So how can you and I live forever? Maybe in a different dimension.

Youth preservation is not about extending the last stage of old age. Nobody wants that. 
Those last stages of diseases, pain, and disability are all symptoms of loss of youth. The youth you have right now. And you lose gradually, day by day. There are no “stages” at all.
If you do nothing, you’ll lose it like everyone else.

Youth preservation is about preserving the information and intelligence of your body. Which you have right now.

And yes, the side effect will preserve your youthful looks. Yes, you will live longer. But it’s a side effect of something more powerful we achieve from the inside.
