Since you are on the Great No Sugar challenge, you may think:
“sugar-free foods are OK, right?”
“What about sugar-free drinks, they must be in the challenge?”
No and No.
One of the secrets of sugar: It disguises itself under many names.
And all of them cause sugar damage.
Many companies take advantage of this disguise and claim the foods do not contain sugar.
Sometimes, these foods and drinks contain sweet chemicals that are more dangerous than sugar.
Sugar-Free Foods
Legally, most companies can put “sugar-free” or “sugar-reduced” while replacing one sugar with another.
That “other” sugar will prevent the repair of sugar damage.
And that “other” sugar will undermine everything that you’re doing.
Because Sugar has about 40 different names, “Sugar-free” foods producers are usually putting one of the forty names instead of white sugar.
Sugar-Free Drinks
These drinks include chemical sugars are probably worse than sugar.
I read a study showing those drinks reduce IQ points. Another study showed they lead to memory loss.
They create brain toxicity.
I did an experiment where I consumed those “no-sugar” sweeteners, such as what in the diet sodas.
I noticed my mental performance dropped in seconds. Immediate effect. It certainly lowers my IQ.
Weight Gain
You’re smart. In your past experience, look around you.
Did you notice overweight and obese people drinking diet sodas consistently, haven’t you?
They don’t touch regular sweet sodas. Almost never.
Yet they are overweight, obese, and usually, and continue to gain weight over time.
Why? Those sweet chemicals cause weight gain, too.
They cause sugar damage without the calories.
If you drink them during the challenge, they will undermine everything you’re doing.
Natural Sweeteners and Natural Sugars
Why are honey, maple, date honey, grape sugar out of the challenge?
Because they are ultimately sugar.
The body views them as sugar, and they cause sugar damage in your body… like sugar. And even if this or that sugar is more natural, it is still sugar.
If you eat these sugars during the challenge, they will undermine everything you’re doing.
Good Sugar Substitutes
When the challenge ends, you’ll get my expert recommendation on sweet foods to eat. And I’ll give you sugar substitutes you could bake with, for example.
These options will give you sweetness while causing minimum or no sugar damage.
But they will work only once you repair sugar damage. Meaning, after the 21 days.
Therefore I don’t recommend these products and substitutes now. They are out of the challenge for 21 days.
Avoid Mistakes
If the food in not in our list, assume it has sugar unless proven otherwise.
