The First Week is Over

One week has passed since you started the process of repairing sugar damage.

This is a great time to stop for a moment and ask: how are you?

Let me guess, could it be that right now you’re feeling close to the end of your rope?

Questions like “Why am I doing this to myself??”
or thoughts like “Wow, I miss chocolate, maybe I should give up?”

Hold on!

You started the process with all your strength and vigor. And the first week is the toughest. So it’s natural to feel your power goes down a little bit.

Sure, you’re here now and your thoughts are on the next meal, and that’s what we’re all looking at 🙂

That’s exactly why today’s post is here.

To remind you are doing a wonderful, healthy thing for your body.

You give your body all the right tools it needs with the right process.
And this process is… short!

Focus on The Timeframe

Remember that you joined a 21-day challenge?

Sometimes, we all need to set short and clear goals.

That’s why I chose 21 days.

We are currently only looking at our 21 days, which is definitely a short and worthy period of time to set goals and taste success. Nobody has the patience to wait three months, but three weeks?

It’s nothing for you.

And out of those twenty-one-day, the toughest first seven days are behind you. The days with the symptoms of sugar weaning off. The pain of stopping old habits (as we learned, it changes our nerves. it’s not easy!).

The toughest days are already behind you.

It’s a great accomplishment. It’s already a success. Hooray!

Now it’s the worst time to “buy” the negative thoughts of your mind.

In two weeks your body will thank you – if it does not already thank you.

You’re Special

Now, I hope you begin to see how our lives revolve around sugar. Shopping, snacking, dining, hosting, being hosted.

That’s the life of most people around you.

But you? You’ve chosen a different path. Every day you see others in this path, remind yourself of the gift you have chosen to give your body.

That’s only ONE reason you are so special.

Question

You could have gone through any diet.  Any program. Any plan.

But you chose THIS program.

Why?

Why did you do this challenge in the first place?

What were your goals and desires?

What were you set to accomplish?

Write down your answers. That’s important. Focus on these.

Believe in Yourself

You’re the person who accomplishes what you set to do.

You’re a strong person who follows through with the decisions you made.

There is a reason you made a decision and you trust your judgment.

This is who you are.

Believe in yourself.

I believe in you.

Now, let’s remind and refocus on the rules:

The Challenge Rules – Let’s Refocus

For memory, let’s repeat the simple rules to focus on what’s most important:

1. We avoid sugar in all its forms and grains in all their forms. However, we can eat up to 1 slice of bread a day.

2. When waking up, we drink 2-3 glasses of clean water. We continue with clean water drinks, including tea & coffee with clean water, throughout the day.

3. We take supplements 3 times a day as directed. We stick to the brands, doses, and timing for the supplements to help your body repair damage.

4. We stick to a simple food list. The list includes foods we can eat freely in the challenge and eat with restriction. We avoid foods that are “out of the challenge” list.

5. When hungry, we eat freely repair fats and repair carbs from the “eat freely” list. We can eat up to three portions of repair protein a day.

You’re strong. I believe in you.
