Lettuce & Macadamia Salad

Benefits & Notes:  This salad is only 0.5 protein servings. Remember that 1 egg and 1/4 cup of yellow cheese are about 0.5 of protein dish each, so better to choose just one of them.
Macadamia fit here well.

Ingredients
  • 1 head romaine lettuce, washed and dried
  • 1 harb-boiled egg sliced or 1/4 cup of grated yellow cheese
  • 1 ripe avocado, chopped
  • 1⁄4 cup chopped macadamia nuts
  • Extra vegetables according to taste: cucumber, onion slices, mesclun.
  • Select dressings: homemade/recommend pesto / homemade balsamic vinaigrette, olive oil/ tahini sauce, lemon.
  • Like any salad, you can add extra olives and avocado to taste. 
Directions
  1. Add all the ingredients to a salad bowl, add the dressing, toss, and serve. 
  2. Salt to taste
